Purpose
The Classroom Teacher is responsible for providing quality education to young learners in their first year of formal schooling. The teacher must create a safe and nurturing environment that supports the intellectual, social, and emotional development of their students. The Classroom Teacher will work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum that meets the needs of their students.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3 years experience in an international school setting.
- Relevant degree and teaching certifications. Having a Primary Education Degree will be an advantage.
- Minimum 2 work references from previous employers.
- Cambridge, MAP, and WIDA experience a plus.
- Having experience working with SEN students will be an advantage.
- Police record check.
- Proficiency in English language.
- Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices for young learners.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Passion for teaching and a commitment to providing quality education to young learners.
- Proficient computer skills.

- Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons that meet the needs of young learners, including activities that promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
- Use a variety of instructional strategies and materials that are engaging and appropriate for young learners.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and supportive learning environment that promotes positive behavior and social-emotional growth.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and other members of school community.
- Regularly assess and monitor student progress, provide feedback, and adjust instruction to meet individual student needs.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to plan and implement a cohesive and comprehensive curriculum.
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers about student progress and school activities.
